Due of reorganizations at the entrance area of Het Nieuwe Instituut (The New Institute) The reading table ‘KAPKAR/ NAI-VT12’, I previously designed for the former NAI, is now donated and gratefully accepted by the Museum of Contemporary Art & Design SM’s ‘s-Hertogenbossch [NL].

It’s placed at the entrance of this beautiful museum designed by Bierman-Henket Architects. I’m very excited that this table now has a new home, and I think it really fits great in this space.

This reading table is a multi functional piece of furniture. Not only visitors can take a seat on the 12 Rietveld chairs but also can take a more informal sit at the into benches transformed legs. At the back end there is a little platform for people to speech, but also can be used to drop on bags or a lower kids table. Thanks to René Pingen and Wendel ter Arve for arranging this move.
